INGLEWOOD -- T.H. Approval crowned himself the king of closing day by winning the Sunset Handicap The Sunset Handicap is an American Thoroughbred horse race run each year at Hollywood Park Racetrack in Los Angeles, California. The race is open to horses, age three and up, willing to race one and one-half miles on the grass and offers a purse of $250,000. , and trainer Jeff Mullins Jeffrey Vincent Mullins (born March 18 1942(1942--)) is a retired American basketball player and coach who is best known for his playing career with the Duke Blue Devils, the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, and later as  and jockey Victor Espinoza Victor Espinoza (born May 23, 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a jockey in American Thoroughbred horse racing. He began riding in his native Mexico and earned his first win there in 1992 before moving the following year to compete at racetracks in California.  clinched championships, as Hollywood Park Hollywood Park may be several places:

Mullins (29 victories) wasn't assured of an outright championship at Hollywood Park's 61-day meet until Doug O'Neill (28) saddled eighth-place It's Who You Know in the final race. It's Mullins' second spring-summer title in three years.

Espinoza (60) finished ahead of Patrick Valenzuela (54) and apprentice Martin Garcia (46) to earn his second spring-summer title.

Earlier in the day, Declan's Moon ended a 16-month layoff and suffered his first defeat in a six-race career.
