(TM) software offer a well-integrated, high availability solution for network computing and includes specific fault management programs for the industry's most popular data services - NFS (Network File System) The file sharing protocol in a Unix network. This de facto Unix standard, which is widely known as a "distributed file system," was developed by Sun. See file sharing protocol and WebNFS.

The SPARCcluster HA Server builds on Sun's recently-announced, SPARCcluster(TM) PDB(TM) Server - Sun's clustered computing platform for parallel database products like Oracle Parallel Server A version of the Oracle database system designed for massively parallel processors (MPPs). It allows multiple CPUs to access a single database.
