SUMMER CES HOSTS 'STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION'; MARINA SIRTIS, COUNSELOR TROI OF POPULAR SERIES, AT SPECTRUM HOLOBYTE BOOTH

 CHICAGO, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Spectrum HoloByte booth is the place to be at the Summer Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Chicago, June 3-6. The company plans to showcase eight new products for the second half of 1993 for the Super Nintendo, MS-DOS, 3DO and CD-ROM platforms.
 Highlights include:
 On Friday, June 4, in celebration of its upcoming titles based on Paramount's hit television series "Star Trek: The Next Generation(R)," Spectrum HoloByte will have special guest Marina Sirtis at its booth. "Star Trek: The Next Generation" fans will recognize Sirtis as the Betazoid empath, Counselor Deanna Troi. Two autograph sessions and a special presentation at 2:30 p.m. are planned. Spectrum HoloByte is creating "Star Trek: The Next Generation" for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), MS-DOS computers, the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer and virtual reality. The SNES version, the first of the titles, is expected to ship in fourth quarter 1993.
 On Sunday, June 6, "Dvorak on Computers," the nation's number-one high-tech radio talk show, will broadcast from the Spectrum HoloByte booth. Co-hosted by America's most widely read computer columnist, John C. Dvorak, and popular San Francisco Bay Area radio personality, Leo Laporte, "Dvorak on Computers," mixes a unique blend of irreverent humor with listener calls from all over the country. The three-hour show averages 1,000,000 listeners per week.
 Spectrum HoloByte, best known for its Tetris and Falcon 3.0 computer games, is based in Alameda, Calif. The company's booth at the Summer Consumer Electronics Show will be no. 7734 in McCormick Hall North.
