SULCUS COMPUTER TO BEGIN TRADING COMMON ON AMEX UNDER SYMBOL SUL
GREENSBURG, Pa., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Sulcus Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: SULC), a leading developer of automated systems for the hospitality, legal and real-estate markets, will begin trading on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol SUL as of today (May 20) Jeffrey S. Ratner, chairman and chief executive officer, announced today.
Sulcus' outstanding Class B warrants, symbol SULCZ, and its preferred convertible stock, symbol SULCP, will continue to trade on NASDAQ. The company's options will continue to trade on the Chicago Board Option Exchange under the symbol ULQ.
Said Ratner: "The impetus for our move to an exchange is not only because we have become an international company, but also the benefit provided by the up-tick rule, which is an impediment to short selling. Shareholders of Sulcus deserve whatever protection management can give them against erosion of their investment. We believe we have done an excellent job in building shareholder values at Sulcus, and we are proud of our achievements including the American Stock Exchange's approval for listing effective today.
The American Stock Exchange is the second largest securities exchange in the United States and the largest American exchange with significant markets in both equities and derivative products. Today, it is an international institution on the cutting edge of trading floor technology, new product development and expansion into world markets through system linkages and globally traded products.
