The body of the man, whose name was not released, was discovered off Redview Drive and Golden Triangle Road by a Department of Water and Power employee. It was about 200 feet west of the South Soledad Canyon aqueduct, which was being inspected by Pat Harlan, 53, of Saugus. Harlan was notified about the body by two men who appeared to be transients. ``There was a bicycle laying next to him and a hammer near him,'' Harlan said. Harlan called a Saugus power plant, which contacted the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station. Sheriff's homicide investigator Scott Fines said detectives were continuing to investigate, but suspected the cause of death to be suicide. |
