SUICIDE ENDS 2 TEENS' LIVES BODIES FOUND OFF VALLEY CIRCLE IDENTIFIED AS DISILLUSIONED YOUNG MEN.

Byline: Michael Gougis Staff Writer

The father of one of two teenage boys who authorities believe carried out a double-suicide pact on a remote hillside said Friday that his son was troubled and had discussed suicide many times.

``He just kept saying, society's never going to get better, it's just going to get worse. We'd talk, and I'd tell him, 'You only have to be responsible for yourself, you don't have to take on the world.''

Noah Deitch and his best friend, Anthony Filippo, 19, of Woodland Hills, were found dead late Thursday on a remote hillside in the Moore Canyon area west of Valley Circle Boulevard by children riding bicycles, police said.

A gun was found near their bodies and Filippo's car was parked nearby. Authorities said the teens, who had been missing since Sept. 24, each appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
