 SUBURBAN BANCORP VOTES 100 PERCENT DIVIDEND INCREASE
 PALATINE, Ill., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Suburban Bancorp


(NASDAQ: SUBBA) voted to double its regular quarterly dividends, effective March 15, 1992, to shareholders of record March 1, 1992.
 This board action doubles the quarterly dividend on a Class A common share from 8.8 cents to 17.6 cents and on a Class B common share from 8 cents to 16 cents.
 As of Feb. 1, 1992, Suburban Bancorp had 2,166,810 Class A shares and 1,260,690 Class B shares outstanding. Class A shares are traded on NASDAQ.
 In January Suburban Bancorp announced record annual earnings of $2.41 per share for 1991.
 Suburban Bancorp is a multibank holding company operating 13 banks with 29 offices in the Chicago metropolitan area.
 Suburban previously increased its dividends 14 percent effective September 1991.
