Albertson's officials had originally submitted a note to the commission saying they needed more time and wanted the hearing delayed. Albertson's officials told commissioners Wednesday they didn't need more time, but the hearing was rescheduled anyway, county regional planning assistant Maria Masis said.

Acton residents showed up Wednesday in Los Angeles wearing anti-Albertson's shirts to protest the supermarket, which they said would hurt existing business and draw traffic off the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California.
