STONE & WEBSTER PROVIDING DESIGN FOR STAR PETROLEUM RESIDUAL FCC UNIT
 HOUSTON, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Caltex Trading and Transport (Thailand) Ltd., an affiliate of Caltex Petroleum Corporation, has awarded a contract to Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation to provide the technology, process design and related services for a grass-roots residual fluid catalytic unit to be located at Map Ta Phut industrial complex in Rayong Province, Thailand, it was announced today by Stone & Webster. Caltex will in turn assign the contract to Star Petroleum Refining Company, Ltd., which will be owned jointly by another Caltex affiliate and the Petroleum Authority of Thailand.
 The project will utilize the S&W FCC Process, for which Stone & Webster is the sole worldwide licensor.
 The FCC unit allows efficient conversion of residual hydrocarbons into gasoline distillates and light petrochemical feedstocks. This capability will be used in satisfying energy needs of Thailand. The planned capacity of the unit is 37,000 barrels per day.
 The Map Ta Phut unit design incorporates state-of-the-art safeguards for safety and environmental protection controls.
