STEVEN J. ROSS, CHAIRMAN AND COCEO, TIME WARNER INC. DIES

 NEW YORK, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Time Warner reported today that Steven J. Ross, chairman and coCEO of Time Warner Inc., died peacefully early this morning. He was 65 years old.
 "Steve Ross's clarity of vision, exceptional intellect and personal magnetism were the driving force in building Time Warner, securing its leadership in global media and entertainment," said Gerald M. Levin, president and coCEO. "Even as we mourn his passing, every one of us in this company will rededicate ourselves to building Time Warner as a monument to the memory of a man whose combination of imagination and talent stood out among all others - a man of integrity, compassion and concern for all people, everywhere."
 Mr. Ross has been on leave of absence from the company undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
 Funeral services will be private. Mr. Ross's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Police Athletic League and the Children's Health Fund.
 A memorial service will be held in January for family and friends.
