STEEL TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW BLANKING FACILITY.


LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1996--Steel Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:STTX) today announced the expansion of its Eminence, Kentucky Eminence is a city in Henry County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,231 at the 2000 census. Geography

, manufacturing facility to house a new steel blanking operation. The $5 million expansion will be completed in mid-1997, utilizing the latest technology in producing close tolerance configured blanks. Initial operations will focus on the automotive and appliance industries. The facility expansion is under construction and equipment orders have been placed.
