STEALTH TO BEGIN PLAY THIS FALL.Byline: Chris Cocoles Staff Writer As with its Single-A team, the JetHawks front office wanted its California League Fall League club's name to reflect the Antelope Valley's aviation background. On Wednesday, the Lancaster franchise announced its name - the Stealth - and coaching staff, along with the other fall league franchises: the Lake Elsinore Land Sharks, Rancho Cucamonaga Surfers and San Bernardino Sand Dragons. Lloyd McClendon, the hitting coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates, was selected as Lancaster's manager. The rest of the staff: Jerry Cram (Colorado) and Jeff Carter (Minnesota), both minor-league coaches. Current JetHawks trainer Troy McIntosh was named a co-trainer for the Stealth. There's a rich tradition of aerospace and technology in the Antelope Valley,'' assistant general manager Kevin Younkin said. The Stealth's logo and cap design includes a streaking Stealth bomber with a red, black and silver background. ``We think it's slick.'' A 42-game schedule featuring Single and Double-A prospects representing 26 of 30 major-league organizations begins September 23.
