STATION CASINOS ANNOUNCES ADDITION TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 LAS VEGAS, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Station Casinos Inc. (NASDAQ: STCI) announced today that the board of directors has named Lowell H. Lebermann Jr. as a director of the company for a one-year term. With the addition of Lebermann, the board has been expanded to a total of six directors.
 Lebermann, 54, is currently a member of the Executive Committee for Valero Energy Corp. as well as the president and sole owner of Centex Beverages Inc., a wholesale distributor of domestic and imported beverages. He is a former member of the board of directors of First City National Bank of Austin, Texas. In addition, Lebermann has held many positions in state and community service. He currently is vice chairman, Board of Regents, for the University of Texas System. He was also a former council member for the City of Austin and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Worker's Compensation Insurance Fund.

 Station Casinos Inc. is a multijurisdictional gaming enterprise that owns and operates the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as well as slot machine route management and vending and payphone service businesses in Southern Nevada and Louisiana. Station Casinos also owns St. Charles Riverfront Station Inc., a riverboat gambling operation under development in St. Charles, Mo., and Boulder Station, a hotel and casino complex under construction in Las Vegas.
