The carrier's September 1992 traffic capacity was 9,377,692 available seat miles (ASM), producing a load factor for that period of 43.9 percent. ASMs from September 1991 totaled 11,856,414, producing a load factor for that period of 46.7 percent. Revenue passenger miles were 4,112,078, compared to the September 1991 figure of 5,539,844.

Miller continued, "The average ticket price this September is higher than last year. New fare increases took effect this Sept. 14th, and the trend is holding strong."
Miller concluded, "The settlement of the USAir/IAM Machinist strike is very good news. We are glad to see a quick conclusion."
StatesWest Airlines also declared a quarterly stock dividend on the company's convertible preferred stock (CUSIP No. 857657 60 5) for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992. The record date for holders of preferred stock entitled to receive the dividend is the close of business on Oct. 30, 1992, and the common stock dividend will be mailed by Nov. 10, 1992.
