STATEMENT BY CHRYSLER CHAIRMAN LEE A. IACOCCA
 ON THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a statement by Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) chairman Lee A. Iacocca:
It's been a long, hard-fought campaign but now it's over. The people have spoken and it's time to get on with the job of putting this country back on top again.
Americans voted for change yesterday. They voted for action on the economy, on jobs, on health care, and on education. That job is not just up to Bill Clinton. It's up to the 535 men and women in Congress who now have to put partisan politics aside and work for the good of America.
Now is the time to set the priorities and make the hard choices that will get the country back on track. I join all Americans in wishing President-elect Clinton and the new Congress nothing but success and I look forward to seeing our hopes and potential here at home and as a global leader become lasting realities.
