A year after canceling Ted Danson's show, ``Ink,'' the network has dropped the five shows it promoted most last season, four of which were star-driven.

For the upcoming season, shows starring Melanie Griffith and Arsenio Hall were left on the development floor. Instead, the big names of the new season are Ken Olin, Brian Benben, Faith Ford and Dennis Farina.

During its annual upfront presentation to advertisers in New York New York, state, United States

Monday, once a CBS stronghold, which slid this season, will keep ``Cosby'' and ``Everybody Loves Raymond Everybody Loves Raymond is an American sitcom originally broadcast on CBS from 1996 to 2005. It is one of the most critically acclaimed American sitcoms of its time. .'' However, the latter moves back a half hour to 9 p.m.

Here is a look at the new shows:

Comedies

``The King of Queens'': A blue-collar sitcom about a young couple just starting to get comfortable building their own life - until family members are forced to move in with them.

``The Benben Show'': Brian Benben stars as a Los Angeles television news anchor who is demoted to the dreaded human-interest beat.

``Maggie Winters'': ``Murphy Brown's'' Faith Ford didn't waste time getting back to television. She plays the title character, who in high school was voted Most Likely to Succeed, but who leaves the big city and returns to her small hometown after her marriage fails.

Dramas

``L.A. Docs'': Ken Olin leades the cast of doctors who put everything on the line to open their own practice where ``Care isn't managed and patients mean more than the bottom line.''

``To Have and to Hold'': A romantic comedy about a cop and his Harvard-educated defense-attorney wife. Ooooh, the culture clashes and the professional tension that must await us.

``Buddy Faro'': Dennis Farina plays a one-time super private eye who has been out of sight for 20 years. He emerges to team up with a young partner, and, because of society's nostalgia craze, Faro Faro, town, Portugal

``Martial Law'': Sammo Hung plays the U.S.'s newest and toughest law enforcer. The martial arts show is coupled with ``Walker, Texas Ranger Walker, Texas Ranger is an American television western/police dramatic series, created by Leslie Greif and Paul Haggis. It aired on CBS for eight seasons, from April 21 1993 to May 19 2001, and was broadcast in over 100 countries. .'' Think of a Jackie Chan movie, sound effects and all, each week. CBS predicts a cult hit.
