        STAR MULTI CARE SERVICES ACQUIRES UNITY CARE SERVICES
                 HOME CARE DIVISION IN NEW JERSEY
    BROOKLYN, N.Y., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Multi Care Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCS) announced today that it has acquired, for an undisclosed amount of cash, the home care division of Unity Care Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNITY), New York.  The acquired division, which is located in Jersey City, N.J., has annual sales in excess of $700,000, is profitable and is affiliated with major hospitals, physicians and social service agencies in the area.
    The division provides services of professionals and paraprofessionals in the home.  Many patients are referred through physicians, and other referrals come from hospital-based and community- based agencies.  Following the pattern of Star Multi Care services this will be a full service agency caring for the patient from hospital to home.
    Commenting on the acquisition, Stephen Sternbach, Star's President said, "We have succeeded in making our first out-of-state acquisition in a fast growing home care market.  We plan to expand this operation to at least $3 million in sales through intensive targeted marketing. Our ability to provide high-tech, high-quality home health care is established and has been proven over time.
    Star Multi Care Services, Inc., provides temporary health care personnel to hospitals and nursing homes and temporary health care to patients in their own homes throughout the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area.
