STANDARD REGISTER LAUNCHES CARBONLESS PRINTER.Standard Register (NYSE:SR) has launched a unique new laser printer specifically designed for carbonless forms. The Standard Register PL4830nC has the technology to effectively handle carbonless paper forms without the reliability issues typically associated with normal laser printers. The advanced new machine components in the new PL4830nC, used in conjunction with authorized carbonless paper, allow it to perform with extreme reliability, unlike common laser printers that often misfeed, jam and damage forms, resulting in print interruptions, equipment downtime and poor quality printing. "For organizations that depend on quick-turn carbonless documents, our new printer presents dramatic improvements in quality and productivity," says Tim Spencer, general manager of Standard Register Document Systems. "Not only will customers appreciate the great performance of the new 30 ppm `C' model, but they will also be able to document the savings through extended printer life and increased productivity. We're confident it will set a new standard in performance. No other printer on the market today can equal the performance and technical superiority associated with the PL4830nC in carbonless forms applications." As part of the customer agreement, Standard Register is also offering a performance guarantee through its Total Care Service (TCS) program. This program includes preventative maintenance service, telephone support, toner and a performance guarantee against print run defects if customers use authorized paper configurations and toner. The PL4830nC is priced at approximately $1,929. (U.S.) Optional accessories are also available.
