ST. FRANCIS FLAILS : BELLFLOWER 17, ST. FRANCIS 2.

St. Francis turned the ball over twice in the first quarter and spotted Bellflower a 17-0 halftime lead that proved insurmountable Friday. Especially with its key offensive player on the sideline.

The Golden Knights (3-2) entered the game having scored 35 points in each of their last two games but managed just two points Friday on a gift safety from the Bucaneers in the third quarter.

The game's key play happened in the third quarter with the Golden Knights holding the ball at Bellflower's 3-yard line with first-and-goal. The Buccaneers defense stuffed Milton on all four downs.

 touched the ball on almost every offensive play and dominated the Golden Knights in the first period. He scored both touchdowns for the Bucaneers and finished with 143 yards.

After a rough first half, the St. Francis defense stepped up in the second and kept the Golden Knights in the game.

St. Francis is looking to have Brown back for its Mission League showdown with No. 1 Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  next week. St. Francis has not won against Notre Dame since 1987.
