SSPC Announces Licensing Agreement with Millennium Fuels USA; SSPC and Millennium Fuels USA Will Market a Blended Biobased Additive for Gasoline.

SHREVEPORT, La.--(Business Wire)--Sept. 12, 2000

Southern States Power Company (OTC Bulletin Board: SSPC) announced today a licensing agreement with Millennium Fuels USA (MFUSA), LLC. Together they have developed and will manufacture "White Lightning" a 125 Octane and Fuel System Cleaner. "White Lightning" is a Biobased fuel additive that will be marketed to a major International Distributor (Contract to be finalized by October 1, 2000) for automotive and diesel products. Lawrence W. Taggart, Chairman/CEO of SSPC and Willard G. McAndrew, III, President of MFUSA stated "White Lightning is the first Biobased fuel additive to provide these combined benefits to motorists and meet the spirit and intent of Executive Orders 13101 and 13134 signed by President Clinton in 1998." Importantly, as this additive is all Biobased it is also safe and environmentally responsible. More technology transfers are under review as the two companies look to combine forces in the area of Biobased Biofuels.
