We are the only medium in the country to do so. We felt obliged to give this work the highest priority. Paula Adamick notes that "Canada has essentially become an economy," with no reference to its foundational Christian faith which provided the country with a unified vision in the past. Today Canada is a bit of a non-entity among nations. February "Same-sex 'marriage' and the culture war", Richard Bastien (Feb., pp. 30-34). After dealing with two main arguments used to further SSM (equality and discrimination), the author goes back to the nineteen sixties and the permissive society to find the roots of SSM in the contraceptive mentality. The counter-revolution will require the renewal of a natural law strategy to end this situation. This is an important article. May "Quo Vadis," John B. Shea (May, pp. 23-25). Discusses Paul Martin's idea that faith is well and good but he must adopt a "wider perspective." II The background of SSM January "Talking about sex", Janice Glover (Jan., pp. 16-17). The author places the spotlight on Alfed Kinsey and his abominable contributions in glorifying the homosexual lifestyle. 'A world report on homosexual controversies", as of December 2004 (Jan. 2005, pp. 38-44). For Canada, this includes coverage of"Who pushed for 'gay' marriage in Canada The Canadian federal government has exclusive authority governing marriage and divorce in Canada under section 91(26) of the Constitution of Canada [1]. However section 92(12) of the Constitution gives the provinces the power to pass laws regulating the solemnization of " (p. 40); "Policy corruptions at External Affairs" (p. 40); and the imposition of same-sex education in Toronto The elementary schools and high schools in Toronto, Ontario, Canada are operated by the Toronto District School Board and the separate Toronto Catholic District School Board. As a global city, it is also home to a number of post-secondary educational institutions. public schools (p.41). April "Getting it straight: Six misconceptions about same-sex relations", Staff Family Research Council (April, pp. 19-25). This summary presents researched data essentially concerning homosexuality, a word that can no longer be used in titles and on covers on websites because public libraries now refuse to print it out. The six myths are: that homosexuals are born that way; that they form 10% of the population; that they suffer discrimination; that sodomy sodomy Noncoital carnal copulation. Sodomy is a crime in some jurisdictions. Some sodomy laws, particularly in Middle Eastern countries and those jurisdictions observing Shari'ah law, provide penalties as severe as life imprisonment for homosexual intercourse, even if the is harmless; that children raised by them suffer no harm; that they do not molest mo·lest tr.v. mo·lest·ed, mo·lest·ing, mo·lests 1. The direction of one's sexual interest toward members of the same, opposite, or both sexes, especially a direction seen to be dictated by physiologic rather than sociologic forces. . Six Canadian medical doctors present the medical facts of the health risks of the homosexual lifestyle, its relation to pedophilia pedophilia, psychosexual disorder in which there is a preference for sexual activity with prepubertal children. Pedophiles are almost always males. The children are more often of the opposite sex (about twice as often) and are typically 13 years or age or younger; , the adverse effects of family breakdown. V Catholic teaching on SSM February Under "Catholic Teaching: Defeat the upcoming bill," Editorial (Feb., 2005, pp. 3 and 42). Catholic teaching is summarized under two headings: 1) teaching about homosexuality and 2) teaching about SSM. This includes seven pronouncements against SSM by Pope John Paul II Pope John Paul II (Latin: Ioannes Paulus PP. II, Italian: Giovanni Paolo II, Polish: Jan Paweł II) born Karol Józef Wojtyła over a fourteen-month period. The author contends that despite this text Canadian bishops, with the exception of Bishop Fred Henry, seem unwilling to defend the Eucharist against Catholics who publicly mock Catholic teaching. The Ontario Conference of Bishops has sent this document to Catholic Members of Parliament (April 6-7). March "Canada's tsunami," Editorial (March, p. 3). Since Vatican II (1962-1965) this is the first time that Catholic bishops from coast to coast have issued their own pastoral letters, in fighting SSM. But Catholic lawmakers must still be told that, as Catholics, they may not and cannot vote for SSM and that, if they do, they cut themselves off from the Church.
