SSFM International Announces Appointments; Howard Schirmer, Jr., Senior Consultant.

HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2000

Howard Schirmer, Jr., an international consulting civil engineer, has joined SSFM International as a senior consultant. During his 35-year consulting career, he has held senior management and leadership positions in over 50 countries in Asia, Latin America and the Pacific Islands, and recently played an integral part in the opening SSFM's Liaison Office in Mandaluyong City in Metro Manila in the Republic of the Philippines. Schirmer formerly held senior management positions with CH2MHill and Dames & Moore.

Schirmer is knowledgeable not only in the environmental and civil engineering fields but also in business and institutional strengthening of private and public organizations. Schirmer has over two decades of experience in developing work on projects funded by Asian Development and World Banks, USAID USAID United States Agency for International Development

Stephen Seiler, Planner, Planning Group

Stephen Seiler has joined SSFM International's Planning Group as a planner on a broad range of planning and landscape design projects.

Seiler has over 15 years of planning and project management experience with a diverse range of large and small projects in the United States and Costa Rica, involving both public and private sector clients. He is experienced with urban, regional, master planning and landscape design projects, which require environmental impact statements, land use approvals and permits from various City, State and Federal agencies. His project experience includes the National Tropical Botanical Garden The National Tropical Botanical Garden is a not-for-profit non-governmental institution.
