SRC Wins Southcoast Health System Year 2000 Contract.

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1998--System Resources Corporation (SRC) received another boost to its Year 2000 business base with the award of a new contract to prepare and implement a Y2K Assessment and Compliance Plan for Southcoast Health System (SCHS).

With 784 licensed beds, SCHS operates acute care hospitals at three Massachusetts locations: St Luke's Hospital of New Bedford; Tobey Hospital in Wareham; and Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. SCHS also operates Southcoast Physician Services, Southcoast Primary Care, St. Luke's Nursing Home, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Massachusetts.

System Resources has extensive experience in providing Year 2000 compliance services, including Y2K risk assessment and plans, code renovation, validation testing, contingency planning, and end-to-end program management.

Previously, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration selected SRC to support the agency's efforts to achieve Y2K compliance for all its critical information systems, biomedical equipment, and facilities. That all-inclusive Y2K project covered the VHA's 22 Veteran Integrated Services Networks, encompassing more than 170 medical centers and hospitals, 376 outpatient clinics, 133 nursing homes, and 33 domiciliaries located all over the United States.

Additionally, SRC recently completed updating Massachusetts' primary financial management system called the Massachusetts Management, Accounting and Reporting System. Subsequently, the company was awarded a Master Services Agreement Contract to provide Year 2000 independent verification and validation services to all Massachusetts agencies and political subdivisions of the state. Other SRC Y2K clients include the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
