SRC Awarded Task Order Support Services (TOSS) Contract by Army

BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- System Resources Corporation (SRC) was selected as a prime contractor to provide technical support services to the Natick, MA-based U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command (SSCOM) under the Task Order Support Services (TOSS) Contract. The award represents potential sales of $35 million over the next five years.

"This contract provides SRC with a unique opportunity to support SSCOM in fulfilling its mission requirements," said Tom DiGiuseppe, SRC's program manager for this contract. "As an information technology company, SRC is well positioned to support the soldier of the 21st Century."

SSCOM's primary focus is to provide the individual soldier with the essentials of life in the form of food, clothing, shelter and mobility. For example, the Command recently supported Operation Joint Endeavor, the peacekeeping mission to Bosnia and Croatia. SSCOM continuously seeks to enhance the individual soldier's performance and quality of life. Research conducted at the U.S. Army Natick Research Development and Engineering Center will provide the 21st Century soldier with significant improvements in mobility, survivability, sustainability, and command and control. As a result, the areas of support for this contract will encompass rigid wall shelters, tentage, field service equipment, food, food packaging, airdrop, textiles, clothing and individual equipment, behavior and life sciences, physical sciences, biotechnology, and integrated logistics support.

Under this contract, SRC's support to SSCOM will be in the areas of science and technology, engineering, operations research, test and evaluation, integrated logistics support, and program management. SRC selected Foster- Miller, GEOMET Technologies, Henry M. Jackson Foundation, Information Technology Solutions, National Food Laboratory, Science and Technology Corporation, and SHERIKON as its subcontractors.

Headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, with branches in eight states and the District of Columbia, the company employs nearly 500 people and services clients in defense agencies, state governments, and leading organizations and companies in the private sector.
