SPSS To Acquire EasyFlow and NodeMap Software; Deal With HavenTree Enables Smooth Migration to allCLEAR For Flowcharting.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1998--Users of EasyFlow and NodeMap software will not be left in the cold after HavenTree Software Ltd. suspends development, sales and support of those products in December. SPSS Inc. (Nasdaq: SPSS) and HavenTree have reached an agreement in which SPSS acquires EasyFlow and NodeMap software from HavenTree. The parties expect to conclude the transaction, subject to the completion of definitive documentation, by Dec. 15, 1998.

Under the terms of the agreement, SPSS will purchase certain assets of HavenTree Software for $25,000. EasyFlow and HavenTree customers will then have the opportunity to migrate to SPSS' award-winning allCLEAR flowcharting software at special upgrade pricing. In addition, SPSS will provide technical support for HavenTree products beginning Jan. 1, 1999.
