SPRINT READIES SPRINT EXPRESS SERVICES TO NINE ADDITIONAL COUNTRIES
KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today announced Sprint Express services to nine countries in the Caribbean, South America, Asia, Central Europe and, for the first time, in Eastern Europe.
Sprint Express is a money-saving service for international travelers. It allows callers to dial a toll-free number from outside the United States to access Sprint's network, offering Sprint's low rates, and generally saving callers money on hotel and country connection charges, which are commonly very high in many tourist areas.
Service is newly available in Austria, Bolivia, Hungary, India, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Later this month, Sprint plans to add Poland and Turkey.
Sprint Express billing is provided through FONCARD or local telephone company calling cards or through collect calling. Information is available by calling Sprint customer service at 800-877-4646 (English) or 800-877-0014 (Spanish).
Sprint is a diversified international telecommunications company with $8.8 billion in annual revenues and the United States' only nationwide all-digital, fiber-optic network. Its divisions provide global long distance voice, data and video products and services and local telephone services to more than 4 million subscriber lines in 17 states.
