 SPRINT FRANCE APPOINTS GENERAL MANAGER
 WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today


named Paolo Colombi general manager of its Paris-based unit, Sprint International France. The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 1993.
 In his new position, Colombi will be responsible for expanding Sprint's telecommunications business in France, including voice services, transmission services and the sale of data communications systems and services.
 Sprint International France provides global value-added data network services through Sprint-owned and -operated network access facilities in Paris. The facilities provide local access to SprintNet, the world's largest global data network. By accessing SprintNet via dedicated or dial-up connection, users in France can interconnect with more than 3,000 host computers around the world and communicate with computer users in more than 100 countries.
 Sprint plans to expand the reach of its SprintNet data network services by installing additional nodes in Lyon, Sophia Antipolis and Lille by the first quarter of 1993.
 Sprint also offers transmission capacity on a number of trans- atlantic fiber-optic cable systems, and offers global calling services in France including its Sprint Express service. Sprint Express allows users in France to dial a local, toll-free number which connects them with a Sprint operator in the USA.
 Colombi has 15 years of telecommunications experience, including responsibility for Sprint's operations in Latin America and Eastern Europe. Most recently, he was Sprint's director of Systems Marketing and Sales in Central and Southern Europe. He has a graduate degree from Politecnico di Torino in Italy, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. He also is a graduate of American Graduate School of International Management in the USA.
