Sports days are annual events staged by many schools in which children participate in competitive sporting activities, often with the aim of winning trophies or prizes.
 featuring inspirational talks by coaches and athletes and a series of tournaments will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 9 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Thousand Oaks.

The event at the 588 Camino Manzanas church includes breakfast, lunch, musical entertainment and talks regarding the theme ``Winning is Not the Only Thing that Counts.''
