SPELLING ENTERTAINMENT GROUP INC. FORMS SPELLING SATELLITE NETWORKS INC. AND NEW WORLDWIDE CABLE VENTURE

 New Company Also Launches Tele-UNO, Its first Cable Channel,
 In Association with Mexico's Multivision,
 To Serve Latin America, Including Brazil and The Caribbean
 SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Spelling Entertainment Group Inc. (NYSE: SP) announced today the formation of a new worldwide cable venture, Spelling Satellite Networks Inc., which will develop and launch cable networks worldwide. The announcement was made today at the NATPE International Program Conference by Ronald Lightstone, Chief Operating Officer of the Company's Spelling Entertainment Inc. unit.
 Spelling Satellite Networks Inc. also announced its first advertiser supported basic cable channel, Tele-UNO, which is being launched in association with Mexico's Multivision and will serve all of Latin America, including Brazil and the Caribbean. The second announcement was made jointly by Mr. Lightstone and Ernesto Vargas, Vice President, Multivision.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Spelling, through its subsidiary Worldvision Enterprises, will be responsible for all acquisitions, marketing and sales activities. Multivision, with its vast experience in the Spanish-speaking marketplace, will be responsible for all technical services and programming. Tele-UNO, which will originate from Mexico City, will broadcast twenty-four hours a day in Spanish and Portuguese. It is scheduled to begin service on March 1, 1993.
 Product will include programs from Worldvision's extensive library and will include current hits such as "Beverly Hills, 90210", and "Melrose Place," classic hits such as "The Fugitive," "Love Boat" and "The Invaders" and feature films such as "The Running Man," which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. Additional product will come from future Worldvision programming and from outside sources.
 The Tele-UNO agreement was negotiated by Bert Cohen, Worldvision's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Mary Ann Pasante, Worldvision's Vice President, Latin America and by Mr. Vargas and Genaro A. Rionda, Corporate Director, Business Development, Multivision.
 Sales and marketing for the channel will be the responsibility of Ms. Pasante.
