SCHOOLBOY Jack McEvoy suffered horrendous injuries when a speeding driver smashed into him as he walked home from school.

The teenager was catapulted 30 metres and needed six hours of emergency surgery for arm and leg injuries.

The 15-year-old was in hospital for more than four weeks and, more than three months later, he still needs a walking frame to get about.

The horrific crash in Ansty Road, Walsgrave, Coventry, shattered his dream of joining the army.
