SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETES TO COMPETE.Byline: Jim Skeen Daily News Staff Writer Antelope Valley Special Olympics will host its 10th annual Hi-Desert Classic on Saturday, an event that draws more than 500 athletes from throughout Southern California. Antelope Valley athletes have been training since September for the event, said Dennis Wick, director of the games. ``This is the culmination of the practice and training,'' Wick said. ``It's a chance for them to show what they do and what they've learned. It's the Super Bowl for them.'' The games will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the opening ceremonies in Marauder MARAUDER.
