SPECIAL DELIVERY - Michael "Cyssero" Williams“A new breed of rap—rhymes for days.” In his own words, this is what Michael Williams, a.k.a. Cyssero, brings to the table. Ask any of the North Philly upstart’s following and chances are you’ll hear the same. “He’s like ‘Kiss',” says childhood friend Eric Richardson. “He grabs you with each line as soon as you hear him. He’s gonna be the best out.” Chances are he just might. Cyss possesses a delivery so timed and intense one should label it criminal, except the only thing he’s out to rob and steal is your attention. A bold assertion by any means, but how else would you explain sneaking backstage to one of the biggest hip hop tours of 2005 to rhyme for the Game himself? “That was all about hunger, man,” says Cyss, referring to the impromptu listening session he provided Chuck Taylor. “I snuck backstage to the Wachovia Center with a few of my people and spit for his road manager, who then brought me to Game. I was at it for hours.” To say the rest is history would be an understatement. Cyss was blessed on the spot with a Black Wall Street chain and a special invitation to finish the remaining leg of the tour with Game, and, uh, don’t forget about the advance he received. How much? Cyss replies with a slick response, “A lot of bread.” So what’s in store for the New Year? “Y’all can expect to hear a whole lot from me,” says Cyss. “I’m working on a lot of mixtapes, as well as my album. I’m in a good situation, man. Still grinding, but I’m on my way.” Let it be understood, for Philly’s self-proclaimed bad guy, 2006 will be a time to rob and steal—listeners that is.
