 said Tuesday.

The proposal has been bogged down for weeks as developers have threatened to halt talks.

``I think we have some momentum and have resolved many of the issues,'' Ferraro said. ``We are looking at some new projections on revenue that will cover the city costs by going beyond the Lakers and the Kings.''

Ferraro said the special ad hoc committee ad hoc committee A committee formed with the purpose of addressing a specific issue or issues, which theoretically is disbanded once its raison d'etre is finished  on the sports arena will be briefed on the proposal Jan. 8 and he hopes to see the matter before the full City Council by Jan. 15.

Full details on the proposal going to the committee will not be available until next week, Ferraro said.

They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).  owner Edward Roski and Denver investor Philip Anschutz Philip Frederick Anschutz (born 28 December 1939 in Russell, Kansas) is an American businessman and supporter of Christian causes. It would serve as the home of the Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers for 25 years. The developers also envision using the facility for concerts, shows and other events for some 200 nights a year.

``Can you imagine what would happen if we had a Neil Diamond or someone of that caliber there?'' Ferraro said. ``He could sell out every night.''

Ferraro said such revenue possibilities should be included as means to cover an estimated $7 million a year in costs.

But, critics, such as Councilman Joel Wachs, have said only sure events should be considered in those projections.

Ferraro said he believes the city has resolved other issues, including relocation of a preschool and development of a minority and women business owners Many online and offline organizations have been created to collect information about businesses around the world owned and operated by women. The largest remaining issue is over whether the city or the developers would be responsible for any toxic cleanup of the land.

The developers have said the city should be responsible, while city officials have wanted more definitive language to protect it from the potential of a multimillion-dollar cleanup project.
