Sparks (6-5) update: Connecticut, in Monday's game, exposed and exploited the Sparks' biggest deficiency - L.A.'s inability to play defense, specifically stopping dribble penetration. If the Sparks don't correct this, Seattle could make it a long night for L.A. Lisa Leslie

Sue Bird had only four points but added seven assists against Connecticut. Betty Lennox scored 29 points and Lauren Jackson chipped in with 23 points and 17 rebounds.
