The Sparks, down to just eight players for their season finale, went out with a thud.

Comets guard Kim Perrot had to be helped from the court with 6:42 left in the game after Los Angeles' Octavia Blue fell on the side of Perrot's right knee. Perrot's knee was sprained and she was listed as probable for Saturday's first-round playoff game.

Trailing 52-50 with 12 minutes 2 seconds left in the game, the Comets went to a full-court press that produced two straight turnovers and a 54-52 lead.
