    Center Yolanda Griffith had 25 points and 15 rebounds for Sacramento, while Kedra Holland-Corn had 13 points and Ticha Penicheiro added 11 points and nine assists.

    After the Monarchs ran off six straight points to take a 71-69 lead, the Sparks (4-4), who had lost four of their last five, responded. Figgs made two free throws and Leslie converted a left-handed shot from close range and added a free throw, putting the Sparks ahead 74-71 with 34 seconds left.
