 SPARKLETTS RESPONDS TO PRESIDENT'S CALL FOR HURRICANE RELIEF;
 5,000 GALLONS OF DRINKING WATER TO LEAVE THE STATE TODAY
 WHO: In response to the president's "urgent appeal to the generous spirit" of the American people, Southern California-based Sparkletts water has joined forces with Operation: California Cares and is sending more than 5,000 gallons of its drinking water to South Florida. This represents the first major relief effort in California for hurricane victims.
 "We encourage other bottled water companies and corporations to contribute to this cause in any way possible to help meet the growing demand for emergency supplies," said Charlie Norris, president of McKesson Water Products Co., parent company to Sparkletts, based in Pasadena.
 WHAT: 850 cases of Sparkletts' one-gallon bottles will be shipped from its Santa Ana facility to Lindbergh Field at San Diego Airport and loaded onto a Burlington Air Express cargo plane, flight 703. The ultimate destination of the supplies is the city of Homestead in Florida.
 The relief project is a cooperative effort between Sparkletts and Operation: California Cares, established by representatives from the World Emergency Relief organization based in Carlsbad, Calif.
 WHEN: 2 p.m.: Load Burlington Air Express with bottled water.
 5:30 p.m.: Flight leaves with supplies for South Florida.
