CANYON COUNTRY - Space is still available in the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Chamber of Commerce Oak Tree Golf Classic, scheduled for April 22 at Robinson Ranch.

Money raised in this 18th annual tourney will benefit the chamber's Education Foundation as well as continuing education continuing education: see adult education.

This year's tournament has a Hawaiian theme. Golfers will receive a shirt from Hilo Hattie's before enjoying a continental breakfast from HomeTown Buffet HomeTown Buffet is a buffet-style, sit-down restaurant chain headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota with locations throughout the United States.

Its wide selection of food include pizza, hot dogs, hot wings, sliced ham among many others.

Their 18-``island'' adventure includes four Hole-In-One contests with prizes - a golf cart or Workhorse vehicle from SCV SCV Santa Clarita Valley (California)

 Golf Cars, a $6,000 travel package from Travel Bug, a set of golf clubs from Giant Golf or a car from title sponsor Valencia Acura. Lunch will be catered by Robinson Ranch.

After the day on the Valley Course at Robinson Ranch, an awards dinner is scheduled at which a silent auction will be conducted. Auction items include an autographed Laker game ball donated by Chris Fall, a drum from Remo Inc. and a golf package for a foursome, put together by the chamber. Nongolfers are invited to the awards dinner, which begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are $35.

Don and Cheri Fleming of Valencia Acura are title sponsors, and dinner sponsors are Randy and Anna Ott of Import Stone. Nearly 120 golfers participated last year. The event is the oldest and most traditional tournament in the Santa Clarita Valley. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, with special recognition afforded those who achieve low gross and net scores, longest drive, Beat the Pro and winners of the putting contest.

As an added attraction, souvenir magazine photos will be available to commemorate the special day. Golf packages are offered at several levels: A $1,500 Birdie package includes four player registrations, goodie good·ie
