Soward has also changed physically, gaining 12 pounds this summer. Whether he can control his comments remains to be seen. Last year, he angered Arizona State when he said, ``We're the team of the future. They're the team of the past.'' Arizona State ended up winning 35-7. Soward has vowed that his mouth will not be a significant aspect of his game this season. ``I'm going to have to learn not to talk too much,'' Soward said. ``I'm just trying to help myself and the team. It doesn't sound like me. Maybe I've matured.'' Good shape: USC players were put through conditioning drills Saturday evening and Hackett was pleased with the results. ``We have a lot of people in the best shape of their lives,'' Hackett said.
