SYLMAR - Police officials were investigating the death of a 70-year-old man whose body was discovered Friday near El Cariso Regional Park.

Guadalupe Arreola Perez was found dead about 11:20 a.m., the apparent victim of a head wound, police said.

 took about $5,000 after holding employees of a Woodland Hills coffeehouse at gunpoint, police said.
