CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  student wins $100,000 on spin

SACRAMENTO - A California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. Failed drug tests lands Fleiss in jail

SANTA MONICA - Alleged Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, awaiting sentencing on federal money laundering charges, was arrested Friday night for testing positive for drug use, authorities said.

Fleiss is to be sentenced after a conviction last year for laundering proceeds from her alleged sex-for-hire operation and cheating on her income taxes. She faces seven years or more.

As part of her bond agreement, Fleiss agreed to regular drug testing, said U.S. Marshal's Deputy Chris Daniels.

She allegedly failed a recent test, Daniels said. Daniels and other deputies arrested Fleiss at her lingerie boutique on the Third Street Promenade The Third Street Promenade is a pedestrian street in Santa Monica, California, United States. It is considered one of the premier shopping destinations in West Los Angeles and frequently draws crowds from all over Los Angeles County.  about 11 p.m. in Santa Monica, Daniels said. Agents with Kemp notice armed man

A man with a gun detained at GOP vice presidential nominee Jack Kemp's campaign appearance in Los Angeles on Saturday turned out to be a security aide for a local official, police said.

Secret Service agents briefly detained the man after he got close to the ex-NFL quarterback who is Republican presidential hopeful Bob Dole's running mate, said Los Angeles police Officer Gerald Todd.

Agents searched the man and found a cellular telephone in his front pocket and the handgun tucked in the back of his blue jeans.

The man was identified as a security aide for a Los Angeles County official and had failed to notify the Secret Service that he was armed. Todd refused to say which Los Angeles dignitary the man was guarding.
