Harvard-Westlake of Studio City's victory over Woodbridge of Irvine in Tuesday's Southern Section Div. I semifinal was its second-closest match of the year.

That doesn't mean it was close. Harvard-Westlake (22-0) again demonstrated it is the division's dominant team by defeating fourth-seeded Woodbridge 12-6 at Studio City Golf and Tennis Center. It was the Wolverines' 44th consecutive victory, dating to last year, in an 18-set match.

``(Winning) never gets boring, especially at this stage and in front of this many people,'' said Harvard-Westlake's Jordan Abergel, the Mission League singles champion.

``We're real confident,'' doubles player Michael Vann said. ``We feel like the only way we'd lose is if we totally collapsed.''
