Baptist High School sophomore Jennifer Parmenter was satisfied Friday at the Southern Section Division I swim finals in Long Beach. Parmenter, one of the top young swimmers in the world, was attempting to break Kristine Quance's national high school record in the 200 IM. She broke her own Southern Section record with a mark of 2:00.4 to win the final, but fell short of Quance's 1:59.53 record set in 1993 while swimming for Granada Hills High School Granada Hills Charter High School (Granada Hills High School) is a public, charter, co-educational, secondary school consisting of students in grades 9-12.
