Hart (4-2, 1-0) controlled the game from the outset, jumping out to a 35-0 halftime lead as Matter had little trouble finding open receivers. In the first quarter, Matter completed all 11 of his pass attempts and finished the game with 34 completions in 41 attempts. Serra's Loren Wade rushed for a career-high 253 yards on 17 carries and scored on runs of 65, 28 and 2 yards. Despite four turnovers, the Spartans controlled the ball from start to finish. Young connected with Jackson again for 8-yard score and with Lonnie Dietz for a 45-yarder.
