Manuel White Manuel White (born July 2, 1982) is an American football running back.  rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 7-ranked Valencia to a 27-13 victory over Highland. But the Vikings suffered the loss of quarterback Zack Sapp, who broke his ankle on a quarterback with 9:32 remaining.

Backup quarterback Kyle Bauer finished the scoring with a 1-yard run.

The Vikings built a 13-0 halftime lead behind an 80-yard pass play from Sapp to wide receiver Pedro Fernandez and a White 4-yard run.

Offensively, Ortiz had 187 yards and two TDs on 18 carries, including a 79-yard scoring run on the game's second play.

Quarterback Jon Palacios rallied Chaminade in the second half. After Dennis Mikulich scored, Chaminade drove 82 yards and pulled within 21-20 with 2:26 remaining on Mikulich's 3-yard run.

Chaminade went for the win, but Ortiz stopped Mason to give Lancaster (1-0) the win.

St. Francis 26, Arcadia 16: Senior running back Jimmy Knauf ran for three Arcadia.

Knauf rushed for 109 yards on 21 carries and scored on runs of 2, 3 and 8. St. Bonaventure 38, Paraclete 11: Lorenzo Booker rushed for 148 yards and scored three touchdowns as St. Bonaventure routed the Spirits at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. The Seraphs (1-0) took an early 12-0 lead after Raul Zermeno intercepted a Rob Fockaert pass and returned it 76 yards for the score.

The Spirits' (1-1) only touchdown came late in the fourth quarter when Fockaert connected with Nick Haase from 28 yards out.

Paraclete standout Michael Washington left the game late in the fourth quarter with a possible concussion.

Barstow 20, Palmdale 14: Ahmad Hawkins rushed for 236 yards and two TDs on 36 carries to lead the host Aztecs.

Palmdale was doomed by four turnovers and an offensive line that gave up five sacks. Quarterback Terry Furlow was under pressure all game, completing just one of eight passes for nine yards and an interception.

Backup quarterback Mike Johnson connected with Travis Morse on an 83-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter that cut Barstow's lead to 20-14 with 8:16 remaining.

Falcons' Jamil Smith, Anthony Diggs and Brent Trice combined for just 86 yards rushing on 21 carries.

Nordhoff 21, Moorpark 7: Maybe it was the bus trip from Ojai to Moorpark, but it took some time before the Rangers found their footing. When they did, it was all Nordhoff in a season-opening victory before 3,000 at Moorpark.

The Musketeers drove down the field and scored on Joe Papandrea's 14-yard run on their first possession.

``They have a wealth of weapons,'' Nordhoff coach Cliff Farrar said. ``Our defense was inexperienced coming in, and we had to make adjustments.''

Nordhoff's conservative ground game was anchored by 6-3, 215-pound senior co-captain Jesse Hawkins, who bulled his way around and over whatever coach Tim Lins' defense threw at him, gaining 116 yards and scoring one touchdown on 18 carries.

Nordhoff quarterback John Hill only went to the air 11 times, but eight of those attempts were completions to wide receiver Scott Drew Scott Drew (b. Christian Watkins rushed for 113 yards on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns on runs of 1, 9 and 20 yards. Watkins also returned a pass interception 24 yards for a touchdown at the end of the first half to give the Scorpions a 43-0 lead.

Jacob Arola also had a 100-yard game for Desert, rushing 12 times for 114 yards and scoring on runs of 5, 10 and 12 yards.

Bell Jeff was lead by Carlos Trujillo, who rushed for 22 yards on 16 carries, but the Guards were held to a net zero yards.
