SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP: SAUGUS ROLLS OVER CANYON.

Byline: Daily News

As far as quarterback Chris Ahlheim was concerned, there was never any doubt about Saugus High's 29-0 victory over host Canyon Friday night in a Foothill League game.

``I think we can move the ball against anybody,'' he said. ``We came out expecting to win.''

The Centurions (5-3, 2-1) rolled up 341 yards, building a 22-0 halftime lead in the process.

Brandon McCullough rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns in 22 carries to surpass the 1,000-yard rushing plateau for Saugus. McCullough has 1,020 yards and 13 touchdowns in 167 carries this season.

Ahlheim was also impressive, completing 12 of 19 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. Matt Hott had four catches for 68 yards and threw a 7-yard option pass to Kevin O'Donnell For the science fiction writer, see Kevin O'Donnell, Jr
