 Bauer tossed three touchdown bombs and the host Vikings held Oxnard scoreless until the closing moments for a 35-6 nonleague victory Friday night at Canyon High.

--La Canada 21, Burroughs 0: The Spartans rushed for 225 yards and one touchdown in a nonleague victory over the visiting Indians.

Chase McKibben rushed for 84 yards on 15 carries and Pat Perrigue ran for 52 yards on nine carries and scored on a 4-yard run that gave La Canada (3-0) a 14-0 lead only two minutes into the second half.

--Agoura 45, Rio Mesa 7: The Chargers (2-1) took advantage of a blocked punt, a bad snap, a fumble and other Spartans mistakes to quickly build a 28-0 first-quarter lead and cruised to a nonleague win at Rio Mesa (0-3).

Running back Brad Altman (13 carries, 111 yards) scored on runs of 41 and 5 yards for the Chargers. Wide receiver Steven Tagai caught scoring passes of 49 and 38 yards from quarterback Chris Denove (8 of 18, 148 yards), who also scored on a 1-yard sneak.

Geo Martin scored the Chargers' first points on a 16-yard run. Matt Smooke added a 40-yard field goal.

Rio Mesa struggled nearly all night, registering minus-5 yards in total offense in the first quarter and getting just two first downs in the second half - both on Agoura penalties.

However, the Spartans, who have scored just three touchdowns all season, did manage a 67-yard drive in the second quarter that was capped by a 35-yard TD run by John Cerda (36 carries, 127 yards).

--Moorpark 41, Channel Islands 14: Rey Corpuz rushed for 161 yards and scored three times to lead the Musketeers in a nonleague game at Moorpark High.

The Musketeers scored on the opening drive of the game, a 1-yard plunge from Corpuz to complete a 10-play, 65-yard drive.

Corpuz's second touchdown, a 20-yard run, came with 14 seconds left in the first half, tying the game at 14-14.

A fourth-quarter 83-yard touchdown pass from Matt Broussard to Scott Rollins put Moorpark in front 34-14.

Rollins finished with four receptions for 150 yards and Broussard completed 11 of 16 passes for 267 yards and one touchdown.
