SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP: MUIR UPSETS CRESCENTA VALLEY.

First, James Samuel James Samuel (1824 – 1874) was a railway engineer who was appointed engineer to the Eastern Counties Railway in 1846. He held two important patents: the first mechanism for the compounding of steam locomotives, granted in 1850, and the railway fishplate of 1844.  proved he was a big-game player. The Falcons scored twice in the second half on touchdown passes from Seth Santoro to Steve Carballo, measuring 34 and 37 yards - the second of which gave the team the lead with 7:21 left in the game. The Apaches (4-2, 1-0) scored 33 points while holding Glendale's offense to 12 yards in the first two quarters. Apaches quarterback Mark Carrol picked apart the Dynamiters' defense by completing 9 of 12 passes for 120 yards.

Glendale (3-3, 0-1) made a run in the second half behind the passing combination of quarterback Carlos Gutierrez and Angelo Walker. Gutierrez's first TD pass was a 2-yard strike to Walker with 3:20 left in the third quarter. He followed with a 56-yard TD pass to tight end Rami rami

Following a 15-0 first-quarter lead, junior tailback Jerome Dennis broke free on a 72-yard run for the Mounties' third and final touchdown.

Gabriel Abikasis, Montclair Prep's middle linebacker, keyed the Mounties' defense as they registered their third straight shutout.
