 Crespi in a Southern Section Division IV-AA playoff opener Friday, and the Eagles certainly didn't get one. But thanks to high-scoring forward Randy Gastwirt, they had enough to advance with a 62-46 win.

Harvard-Westlake 83, Northview 31: The top-seeded Wolverines (29-1) led 50-8 at halftime as Jason Collins had 13 rebounds and 15 points in a Division III-A playoff opener at home. Teammate Victor Munoz had nine assists despite no starter playing more than 16 minutes.

L.A. Baptist 81, St. Monica 45: David Plaxen tallied 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Knights (23-2) easily advanced to the second round of the Division IV-A playoffs.

Bell-Jeff 78, Mojave 62: Junior Ruben Douglas had 35 points, eight rebounds and four blocks and Kent Dennis added 19 points, six assists and six steals as the Guards (21-6) set up a second-round showdown with L.A. Baptist.

Crossroads 104, Village Christian 35: Cash Warren scored 23 points and Baron Davis added 18 for Crossroads in a Division IV-A opener.

Cornerstone Christian 48, Grace Brethren 41: Steve Carter scored 28 points as the Eagles used a 17-4 second-quarter run to end the Lancers' season.

GIRLS

Buckley 54, Campbell Hall 49: Pansy Tolou had 28 points and 14 rebounds as the Griffins overcame an ealry 10-point deficit in a Division V-AA win at home. Alexana Lambros added 14 points for Buckley and Molly Jacobs scored 11 for Campbell Hall.
