``We decided to really pressure them and take away the 3-pointer,'' said Haloossim.

--Muir 71, Elsinore 59: The host Mustangs held off a late rally in a quarterfinal game at Pasadena City College.

Muir (23-7) led by 16 points, 60-44, with seven minutes remaining. The Mustangs, however, went scoreless for nearly five minutes as Elsinore (25-5) climbed to within 65-59 with 50 seconds to play.

Muir made 5 of 7 free throws in the final 37.3 seconds, including five by Joseph Frazier, to defeat the Sunkist League champion Tigers.

 Christian 65: Jason Greir made a 3-point basket with four seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to lead Eastside Christian past Antelope Valley Christian in a game that had 12 lead changes.

The Eagles had a 55-49 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter because of strong inside play by Peter Beaudin and fine outside play from Matt Nurse.

Beaudin finished the game with 31 points and 15 rebounds. Nurse added 12 points and four assists
